Lou Bellofatto is the owner and primary composer/arranger of Way Uptown Productions. He’s had an extensive career in the Madison Avenue jingle business dating back to 1981.

Starting as an accompanist for a jingle house in New York City, he had the opportunity to participate in the composing process right through to the final mix on campaigns such as Miller Beer, Campbell’s Soup, Lee Jeans and many others. He then worked at McCann Erickson as an arranger where he won the arrangement competition for the introduction of “New Coke” and went on to do Coca-Cola arrangements for artists such as Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Ashford and Simpson and Richie Havens.

Moving into the nineties he saw the introduction of computers and synthesizers as the new wave of recording. Adapting to this new technology he continued his career composing and arranging jingles for Alka Seltzer, Pepsi, Folgers, Sherwin Williams and countless others.

Today, Lou has chosen to work primarily with smaller businesses that want to advertise locally to increase their exposure and profitability. Lou stays current with today’s music trends and now makes his years of jingle experience available to you.
